CROWS BLOG: LOOKING FORWARD

CROWS BLOG: LOOKING FORWARD

Hi everyone.

It seems like ages since my last blog or any sort of communication for that matter.
Since then plenty has gone on in the World as we know but very little in terms of our level football and Royston Town. The decision was made to make another season null and void. Obviously, this was extremely frustrating for everyone concerned but I suppose we now have to look forward to better times!!

After the long lay off, and thanks to the lifting of some of the restrictions, we were able to finally get the players together on Tuesday for a training session at Garden Walk. I know I speak for Chris (Watters) as well that it was really great to see them all, along with the Reserves and the Youth Team. A few board members also took the opportunity to get out of their houses to come along and watch which was appreciated.

Generally, all the players looked good – fitness-wise – but at the moment it’s not all about that. The main thing was to get everyone together again and have the chats and banter flowing. It was brilliant and I, for one, have really missed that.

Let’s hope now that these restrictions will carry on being lifted and that very soon we can all come back down to Garden Walk, watch some football and then have a drink together after. It won’t be long hopefully!!

Finally, I want to send my congratulations to Scott Bridges and his partner Kim on the safe arrival of their son, Oscar, who was born earlier this week!

Cheers, and stay safe!
