Keep The Momentum

Quite a while since our last blog but what a blog to write!!

A superb away win at highly fancied Tamworth today winning by 2 goals to 1 with Benny Martin slotting in header with minutes to play!

A lively crowd who were very vocal made for a decent atmosphere and in general our boys dealt with it well!

Tamworth are strong, I don’t think many teams will go there and come out with maximum points so all the more satisfying to get the victory.

We have adjusted things slightly, pushing Muzzer up top and playing Gus in midfield with Callum slotting into right back and Charley O’Keefe coming in as centre half for the injured Braths.

It’s been a little inexperienced at the back but fair play to them all they have dealt with it admirably.

A quick mention for Romelle Alomenu, Rom has had to be patient to get his start but after a shaky start produced a very solid display to show his worth.

A warm welcome to David Mooney to the club. David is vastly experienced in League football and considering this is going to be his first taste of English Non-League football I for one feel very privileged that he has decided to come to us!!

On to Tuesday and a local cup tie against Hitchin at Garden Walk. A couple of changes from our end to give lads minutes but still very strong. Keep the momentum for me and carry on all this recent good work.

Cheers,
SC
