Patience Paid Off

Tonight we stand in 3rd position in the League with a good win against Bedworth at home, to carry on a great recent run in our league campaign.

We had to make a last minute change with Ben Martin becoming unavailable and David Mooney coming in for his full debut and our Muzzer reverting to his familiar centre half role.

Our visitors were happy with a slow paced match but whenever possible we upped the tempo and with a little more good fortune in front of goal we could have gone into the break a couple of goals up. It wasn’t to be and the opposition were not forcing any play so we had to keep pushing but also not leave ourselves open to the “Sucker punch”

Patience was the order of the half and to a degree we did just that.

The opener come from an unusual source in Gus Scott-Morriss which I’m sure he will milk for all it’s worth!!

The 2nd an excellent strike from outside the box from Josh Castiglione.

What was the most pleasing thing from me was the general positive attitude shown by all and also the amount of goal scoring opportunities we created which on another day get put away to give us a more convincing win.

So a good result to put us in a great position at this stage in the season, plenty to still play for so hopefully everyone to stay injury free and make selection a problem but a good problem to have!

Cheers
